About Beirut Global Foundation for CHD
Founded and led by Professor Fadi Bitar and Professor Issam El Rassi, Beirut Global Foundation for Congenital Heart Disease (BGF4CHD) aims to establish a forum that creates solutions, identifies and utilizes resources that lead to promoting high-quality medical services and care in developing countries.
The Foundation assists in building developed programs for children with Congenital Heart Disease and supports humanitarian initiatives.
The Foundation provides medical services, educational and training programs and raises awareness and support research for the wellbeing and betterment of children with CHD.

Professor Fadi Bitar
Professor Fadi Bitar is the President of the of the Beirut Global Foundation for CHD, a Professor of Pediatrics, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, and Founding Director at the Children’s Heart Center, American University of Beirut.

Professor Issam El Rassi is the Vice President of the Beirut Global Foundation for CHD and the Director of Pediatric and Congenital Surgery Program at Children’s Heart Center, American University of Beirut
